Strategic Account Manager

The Strategic Account Manager will manage Johanson relationships with Contract Manufacturer’s (CM) and Distributors (D). This person will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, negotiating, implementing and managing strategic sourcing strategies and relationships with CMDs to support Johanson Company business needs. They will also drive new sales through the CMDs in accordance with our strategy; act as the commercial partner with all CMDs to optimize Johanson’s business interests.

Contract Manufacturing – Tier 1

  • Develop and maintain Tier 1 Contract Manufacturer Relationships in worldwide
  • At least 3 visits to Asia annually
  • Several domestic design locations as needed to get traction
  • Schedule monthly telecoms/webinars to discuss open issues and drive PSL
  • Work CEM to:
  • Gain sufficient status (Usually PSL) to be considered for ODM opportunities
  • Maximize penetration for those opportunities that net us >20% profit on purchased parts and >35% profit on manufactured parts
  • Works to ensure Johanson products designed in by OEM are indeed purchased by the CM –
  • Works with RSM and Rep/Agent as needed to close the DW loop to an order
  • forms relationships / agreements as needed to secure business
  • Ensure supply chain purchase orders and factory shipments are in synch.
  • Acts as the gatekeeper, control the flow of information between the Company and the CM.

Distribution Global (Arrow & TTI )

  • Form strategy to grow business
  • Develop relationships with Corporate Distribution passive component managers to communicate and drive Johanson value through Distribution.
  • Determine best regional sites to engage and grow business with help of Rep and RSM
  • Manage Distribution Strategy throughout JDI/JTI – create/manage contracts/orders to optimize profit/sales
  • Maintain and update VPN pricing as needed – at least bi-annually
  • Optimize stocking plans at Distributors to minimize Johanson risk and maximize Distributor stock
  • Recommend Distributors to contract or terminate as needed to achieve company goals

Both CM and Distribution (Non Catalog Only)

  • Leads negotiation for all major pricing contracts as needed to optimize Johanson sales/profits
  • Works closely with Johanson Personnel in coordination of required tasks and outputs.
  • Lead any efforts needed to increase pricing, reduce costs, solve delivery and quality issues
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts to achieve business, operations, and quality objectives in addition to performance goals to support and enhance the CMD relationship.
  • Create mutually beneficial business contracts with CMD’s
