UWB Automotive Keyless Entry Directional Antenna
JOHANSON Technology releases P/N 7987AT45A0200002E, a compact surface-mount (SMT) ceramic patch antenna designed for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) automotive applications, with a focus on keyless entry, secure vehicle access, and short-range communications. This antenna delivers targeted performance on UWB Channel 9, operating at 7987 MHz ±100 MHz; however, it can be tuned to accommodate other channels.
Engineered using LTCC (Low-Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic) technology, the antenna provides thermal stability, low frequency drift (~2 ppm), and resilience against detuning, making it ideal for harsh automotive environments. Its directional radiation pattern enhances signal strength and reliability—critical for automotive key fob-to-vehicle communication, especially in multipath and reflective scenarios.
P/N 7987AT45A0200002E features a compact 4 × 4 × 1.5 mm SMD footprint, making it easy to integrate into dense automotive modules, doors, and other UWB anchor placements. Its flexibility allows placement at the PCB center, edge, or corner. With AEC-Q200 qualification and 50 Ω impedance, it meets and exceeds the demands of automotive UWB antenna design.
